Hi Harv,
It's great to hear from you it brings a smile thinking of fishing with you and your Dad. Awfully sorry to hear about the tough times you've been through and really hope they're behind you now and smoother sailing ahead!
Cheers,

Bob, it will be awesome to see you & to me the worst part of your trip will be Del. Bay (maybe). only the last leg into St. Mic's is a little sketchy, but following the channel is easy enough. Only a few weeks away now, can't wait!

I've got a lower helm on my B35 and its handy for docking and "howdy boating". I find that anything over 10kts I find is too much bow-rise to be any good.

Re: Q on B35
Hi Yannis, My B35 has cat 3126's with 420hp and I cruise at 22kts at 21-2200rpms depending on seas. It's a quiet comfortable ride. I can easily cruise at 24-26, though at 2300+ the turbos are really kicking in and here in the Chesapeake the short chop makes it a bumpy ride. Oh yeah I had to use a 1....

Hey Mike, The B35 has been a good boat, I bought mine in 2000 with 454's and then repowered with 420hp Cats in 2008 (perfect timing) it went from maybe 18kt cruise to 24-25kt cruse, though most of the time I prefer 22kts @21-2200rpms the motors are loafing and the hull floats over the chop. I think ...

John, Not that I have to tell you, my advice is 2500 Dodge tradesman with 6.4 or 5.7 if you don't like multi-displacement. The 2500 gives you beefer brakes and suspension which you may not NEED, but don't hurt and the ride of the 2015's is way better than my '04 other than that, my neighbor has a ve...

I've got a set of 450 hp in my B35 and they work good for me. They're more like C series cummins as far as size and weren't the easiest to install in a B35. Based on size, I wonder about fitting length wise in a B31. I've not put too many hours on them but happy with power and performance. I use Alb...

Re: Seeking advice on a B20 Repower
Sean, I have a mechanic who did mine out of salvage parts (I'm doing this on the cheap). He handled getting and install the parts needed, reusing the existing trim controls. Size wise the new either fit or was slightly large, so just a little cutting was needed, no need for filling in any areas. My ...

Sean,
Another option would be to replace the old pre-alpha with and Alpha 1 r 2 and keep the straight 6, that's what I did, but now the motor is bad.

Mark, I was in my early 20's and don't know if we hit every bar or not. I do remember a couple of us moving the back end of a Cadillac on a dare. Two different time we went to Ft. McCoy for cold weather training with our helicopter squadron HMM-263. Nice folks and wide open spaces is what I remember.
