no problem for me...i never bought the license. there are a few folks fighting the regs and one guy in particular. not sure about the short thing however....they dont seem to have any trouble at all cracking down . i can ask my friend the ex DEC agent.

thats one spot for sure. there are some rocks about a half mile east of the lion head -clearwater inlet that seem popular also. and...right in the channel coming into 3 mile and sunset cove. i bet there are plenty more.

one of the best following sea boats ever build. and in a following or 1/4 sea you wont get wet.

my personal feeling is the wet rep is partly due to the fact you can be out there when most others are at the dock. you can always slow down.

in utah i had a little 4 banger 1952 CJ2A...a REAL jeep with square fenders. having lived its whole life in utah it had no rust. i dragged it here and in two years it dissolved.

um......dry it? shop vac works well for this. like brewster i am a big believer in pumps...4 (2, 2500 GPH) and very easy to to operate crash valves. trust me , that one time you open the hatch and see a rising foot of water in the bilge you will be glad you have them. the theme for this month..........

or....you can get a little plastic mesh cage and glue that to the hull . no top necessary. keeps debris away from the pump, holds it in one place and makes it very easy to service and clean.

no...it was a BN2....4 speed with 2 speed overdrive. 2nd gear was lower than first in the honda civic. first was a joke. and no syncromesh either. reverse was pretty low too. i had the car clocked at 95 at bridgehampton and frankly if it had more i had no interest in finding out. think biplane engin...

i spent the first summer taking the car completely apart and welding in new sheet metal wherever necessary. then a few coats of paint and never wet again....almost. i actually once found a rock and hit the pump to get it started...worked. very easy car to push start BTW. i also didn't use first gear...

i HAVE the rubber flaps and still managed to get sea water in my port engine. now i just put the stoppers in. takes 10 seconds and turns it into a non issue. i have em on a tether so if i forget to take em out i dont lose em. i leave them in when docked in heavy weather too. less holes below the wat...
