730 AM.....we have leaves and twigs down......but not too many. and we have electricity. not even bad as a normal summer storm. bullet dodged.

i guess there is more to come but it looks like the southern quadrant of the storm has fallen apart.

its the water pump and the fridge. out here the electricity used to go out if it got cloudy.....much better now but the two weeks after gloria got my attention.

BTW....the engine can be ethanol goo flushed....its not pretty but it absolutely can be done.

if it has electronic ignition i would switch the modules. failure causes instant shut down.......it only took me a week to figure that one out ( but i went out twice with one engine). when i went to buy the replacement i asked how long they were good for. the guy said anywhere from 10 minutes to 10 ...

actually i think its about money. the CG guys are on the clock no matter what they are doing.....why not check parking permits? some big fines just waiting to be paid out there.

pull a plug......if it looks like it is black epoxy coated....ethanol poisoning. pull the carb and clean separately. take out all the plugs and pour acetone down the intake manifold. turn the engine over till black goop stops coming out of the cylinders. stop using ethanol or change the tanks...peri...

we often bottom fish on my friends sixty foot bertram. its nice to spread out along the transom. and the wide screen TV is nice if its sunday and football is on. oh....call me if i have a fish on.

mike and i saw a 125 foot sailboat completely block off the entrance to new harbor on block island. well almost. we snuck out under the bow.

santa barbara harbor is one of the worst....has to be dredged constantly.

but the sand bar makes a great surfing wave.

at this point in the season i would just run er if she runs. of course i ran a whole season with no reverse on one engine.
