dick....after 45 years of paddling out there on a surfboard a kayak seems like a lot of boat....believe it or not we took wind,tide, and swell direction into account.....we litterally stopped paddling at 230 (drifted for fluke)and at 315 we washed up on the beach exactly where we wanted to get out...

i think harry hit the nail on the head...i consider my boat a "rolling restoration".......i keep trying to make it better but i can stand still for awhile (at least cosmetically) and its OK...when i had an all wood boat....i never stood still.....thats why i admire guys that can maintain them

sim...there are two basic types of yaks....sit in and sit on....and a lot of variations on those themes....the sit ons are mostly cheaper (as in less expensive....not worse construction).....my opinion is that sit ons are easier for the newbie......much easier to get back into from the water....but ...

i wore a hole in my finger trying to get this puppy started...cleaned the points, got a new plug,new gas....................................bruce takes a long look at it , pulls the cord and it starts on the first pull .....thats why he gets the big bucks

bob....my gunnel boards are held down by the rod holders and the gas fill.....transom has some epoxy but the rod holders help......25s are smaller........again...real nice
