hey harry...there is some swell coming but the wind forcast is a little large....35-48 out of the northeast forcast for the high swell period........i would think its a little late for a tropical storm............except the leaves are still mostly green ( a little color , but no where near normal).....

just thought i would interject that all the small bertrams and alot of the older larger ones are also great boats...not just the 31..though its reputation is completely justified (in the last three years ive spent about as much time on 31s as my 25) i often raft up with friends that have "modern" 25...

im with you brewster....with us it wasnt fishing, but the days and days i spent snowboarding with my son formed an everlasting bond and we both know what the other is made of....face it...guys with small old bertrams are a breed apart....and then some

sim...no one said often.....that would be a problem to avoid.....i plan on tearing the end caps and elbows off my newly installed manifolds (at the end of season) as the engines are generating too much steam at running rpm.....none at idle

hell...ive had water in both engines at one time or another and they still keep on runnin..(not to mention the dreaded black goo)..take out the plugs....fill the cylinders with something oily........spiner over a few times...change the oil and you good to go.....if you lucky............................

i think the new volvos are a lot better suited and its been done with great success.....but my 1984 chryslers some how just keep chugging along so ill wait till the new super small high effiecent and inexpensive diesels come a long...........long wait...huh?

capt (im just guessing here) probably fueled up for a trip to bimini...they run the boat south...run out of fuel...dont know how to switch tanks or restart...boats a big target and they know folks are gonna start looking soon
