so last night caren ,mike o ,and i go to my friend peters club to see hot tuna.....caren gets a tooth ache and bails giving her seat to this very nice young lady...who gets to talking to mike which leads to this revelation...her daddy owns a B31 in jupiter fla...so if you out there in bertramland......

well bruce...i went fishing in the bay yeaterday...well over 50 degrees.. not to bad...took the inflateable to the ramp at the marina where my bertram lives....didnt see another car or pedestrian on the way there...and there was no one there.....launched and ran around the creek for awhile but that ...

i take it back...i would never use oak in any trim piece on a boat....turns black if you spit on it.....i did the swim platform with epoxy then poly...not as slippery as it looks...dont know why....the cover boards are epoxy then matt poly....easy to walk on and very durable...scuff em and recoat ev...

having recently walked around a bit on brewster's gunwales id have to say that teak is definately the first choice...i only use mahogany because i have a large supply left over from 10 years of architectural sculpture...free is hard to pass up....and if you do the work....there is nothing more beaut...

ive had pretty good luck with mahogany....not sure what the price is now compared to teak.....built a swim platform and cover boards and they are holding up well.....strong, pretty , easy to work with....not as moisture resistant as teak but better than most http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n186/r...
