harv......the rule of thumb is the island is only a few miles wide....just bail out and keep going in the direction you want...north of the highway there are lots of choices....south of the highway you have to know where the water (ponds) is cause there are a lot of dead ends.

there are guys here that swim out at night with a rod and reel.

ive fished for stripers and bluefish from my long board but so far have gotten the best "nantucket sleigh ride" in the kayak. that fish in panama would have been the best but it just didnt co-operate.

no...but i jumped off that pier lots of times. anyway im thinkin its not real...how convient that he gets towed right into a good take off spot.....plus you never see the shark ....just the "fin". oh yeah......and the other surfers just lie there on their boards as this huge shark swims by.............

bob....its hard but its wood....all wood will rot(eventually) in a submerged unprotected dead state.(very very slowly in full logs in very cold water) lots of trees grow in swamps...mangrove and cyprus for example ...but they rot away quite fast when they die.......the wood on the deck is dead...or ...

tell me more about this "flex mold"......i have an area the size of a dinner plate on the engine covers that has been ruined by the previous owner...would like to restore the diamond design to that spot and blend it back with the rest....is that possible?

i use "perfect seal" even though the instructions say not to. the one time i didnt...they leaked. once i filled the unwanted openings with marine tex...which worked . engines are 25 years old and have never had block off plates....but if i had them id use them

if you go the mahogany route......make sure you use real mahogany. many lumber yards mis label luan as mahogany. i dont know how they get away with it but i see it all the time. BTW...i have quite a bit of fairly large scrap boards and such. if anyone ever needs any you should check with me first......
