Re: 2021 Cummins options
I am no formal mechanic but I do have a story. Two years ago at the Tripple Tree Fly In in South Carolina, I was talking with a man from Indiana who had just retired and was planning on building a high tech experimental airplane. I asked what technical experience he had. He was the lead engineer for...

Re: Rusty Emblems
I believe the flat Bertram emblems can be laser or water cut from 316 stainless. Polishing afterwards. On my 39 FORD pickup restoration project, I sent the hood emblem/ latch to Pauls Chrome. Found them in Hemmings. Expensive but all pits were filled in and item looks better than new. Worth the expe...

Re: Too quiet on the board...so heres some updates with pics
Carl I have all rebuilt on the Cessna 180. Just have to assemble. The PA-12 Super Cruiser is in covering stage. Just a lot of wet sanding and many coats of dope. May have to wait till Spring to finish all the work on the fuselage due to the temperature. Got to get something going so I can take Rawle...

Coverings boards
Teak covering boards. What is the thickness required and how attached? 5200? I have some nice boards Pete Fallon set me up with but they are only 1 1/2 inches thick. Can they be resawn and still be thick enough? Pete, does your friend have any more of that nice teak?

Re: Annapolis, MD Rendezvous
John Happy to hear you will be attending. I came up from Smith Point area yesterday, shook a lot of screws loose and lost a cover on the windlass. Will Martin was here to meet me. He is completing restoration of his 31. Your friend and nice guy John Dunker came in from Baltimore after me in his 35. ...

A possibility Dorian could alter the Chesapeake gathering. If so, perhaps the date could be slipped one week, thus allowing some who went to the North to attend.

Re: Annapolis, MD Rendezvous
I made my reservation a while back and just reached out to the Cambridge Hyatt to confirm the group arrival. I was told they have no group by that name listed for 6-7-8 September. Probably someone should check in with them to ensure there is no problem.

Re: Master volt P/N conversion
Talked to Bobby at the Kubota industrial shop in South Carolina. He sent me the exploded parts diagram with the Kubota part numbers. A Kubota injector pump is $478.00 versus over a grand from Mastervolt. Next step now that I have the part number is to see if the diesel guys in Richmond can renew thi...

Re: Master volt P/N conversion
I have had old airplanes with magnetic drive tachometers. locating this pump is the issue. Backtracking the hoses from the A/C unit ( located between the vee berths) gets complicated. They run aft amidships and seem to disappear into hidden regions. Guess I will have to remove panels, etc. Thanks Br...

Re: Master volt P/N conversion
Made some progress in today's incredible humidity. Neighbor was a Kubota dealer until recently. He said to look under the valve cover and I did. The digits 4761 were embossed in the casting. Tomorrow I will persue that. The shop in Annapolis was closed early Bruce. I will check tomorrow with them. N...

Re: Master volt P/N conversion
Bruce Thanks so much for that information. I called Superior Diesel in Richmond but they wanted the Kubota number. I will give the guy in Annapolis a shout. I was not looking forward to yanking that genset. Eventhough it is a little package, it still weighs 250 pounds. 94 degrees in the shade here t...

Master volt P/N conversion
I Have isolated the problem with the genset to the injector pump. The P/N is: K-50202160. I am trying to source the part locally from a Kubota dealer but they need a Kubota P/N. The set is a Mastervolt 3.5, 3600 RPM with a single cylinder Kubota Diesel engine. I can't find a Kubota number on the blo...

Some years ago I had some nice side and rear windows made by Broadus Rose and still haven't had them installed. Guess that's still on the list.

Been in AFIB since last Fall. Had two cardio versions and one ablation. Finally back in sinus rythm. Hope it stays that way. Just got the boat going. Needs some clean up and impeller changes. Genset inop, suspect injector pump.Single cylinder Kubota diesel in Mastervolt 3.5 outboard of port engine. ...
