Re: Documentation measurements
Hello, my Documentation numbers for 1986 FBC are as follows: Gross tonnage 11 GRT, Net tonnage 9 NRT, Length 30.6, Breadth 11.2, Depth 5.1. I wonder if the depth counts the props on shaft!?

Re: props finally on, repower nearing completion.
Saburke, after reading Peter Fallon's post I went out and measured my stuff again. I thought my shaft angles were 19.1 degrees but it was really 14.2. I have the 21" 4 bladed props (21R30). I checked them on Boatdiesel and it says that is the correct setup. The distance from the center of the shaft ...

Looks great!! So cool getting new stuff! Please pass on how it handles. I've got roughly the same shaft angle as in your picture (19 degrees) and same height in relation to the rudder it looks like. I didn't get to run the boat as much as I would have liked when I bought it and realized very early o...

Capt, here's a few pictures of my trailer when I was picking it up. The front bunks were not adjusted yet for the bow angle in these photos but it might give you some general ideas of how they (Rocket Trailer Miami) did it. It worked great so far! I was guessing on heights and length when I had Rock...

Re: Leaking window
Peter, one more easy check. Make sure the side sliders have a clear channel drain. Thats the cutout on the side that lets the water out of that sliding glass aluminum channel when it gets wet. If it was plugged with dirt or FOD then it would allow water to build up and drip in-between the two pieces...

I just measured my shafts to the center with the props off and it's 54-3/4". The outside of the shaft struts measure 58". I don't have factory engines so take the measurement with a grain of salt but those are the numbers. I hope that helps!

Re: Leaking window
Hey Peter, glad you got one leak fixed! Without a picture it might be harder to trouble shoot. If I was betting, I’d think it would be leaking from around the center windows and running down to the corners. It makes sense that there’s more grooves and gaps on the center windows for the water to get ...

The floor on my boat seemed a bit thin to me too after removing the dinette. I was afraid to put much very weight on it. Re: FBC salon upgrade issue
Doug, when I put my interior back together I remember having a similar problem. In my case, the floor was holding it up and it wasn't sitting in the recessed area very well. Like Tony was saying, these boats get twisted and when you pull some of the key interior parts out it probably settles a bit. ...

I replaced the little piece of floor between the benches and used treated plywood with a few coats of West System Epoxy. The old piece didn't have any water damage and lasted 32 years so I figured that was probably okay not to get too fancy. So many other things to worry about.
