Support for Bracket
Hello all. I plan to add an outboard bracket to my B25. What kind of support do I need? I've already replaced the transom bump out core with the same thickness of Coosa and 3 layers of 1708 over the bump out. Glass extends 8 inches or so past the bump out in all directions and onto the stringers. An...

Re: Curved floor
Thanks for the info KTM. I don’t have any camber, my bulkheads are flat on top from one chine to the other. The floor has a slope from stern(lowest point) to bow(highest point), not linear, curved. I can glass and install floor sections individually, I’ll just have to add some fairing compound at th...

Curved floor
Has anyone installed a floor/deck that curves? I followed the top of the chine with my new bulkheads on my B25. This means the floor has a slight curve as it moves from the stern to the bow. The floor has about a 5 inch bend at the center of the boat. I can install it in sections but I'll have a lot...

Re: Bertram 25 Floor and Chine
I have 4" wide 2# foam bulkheads(hollow, made from 1" foam). I made them to slip over the two existing stringers. I plan to put 5 layers of 1708 on each. How does this sound, too much? not enough? After glassing them individually I'll tab them into the hull with fillets. Also, my floor will have a c...

Re: Bertram 25 Floor and Chine
Thanks for info guys. I’m think about putting in the floor sections an wondering how to glass the hatch gutters. I plan to use 1708 or woven on the floor panels and hatches where they are flat but I’m not sure how to glass the small radius of the hatch gutter. I know I can do it with CSM but from wh...

Bertram 25 Floor and Chine
Hi everyone, I’m starting to build my B25 back up from the stringers. I have hull with two stringers right now. On the original molded floor there is an offset that drops the floor below the chine onto the stringers without touching the chine. I canny think of a way to replicate this offset floor wh...
