Re: Fishbox drain idea
Hi Mark, You make good points, especially about the smooth and consistent all the way back and making sure this doesn't leak. I hope it is smooth but it is definitely not consistent. One thing I didn't mention is that there is actually another stringer inside the hollow one, it is about 2" high and ...

some good progress was made tonight!! I put the first deck panel in the boat along with the hatch cover so I could mark and fit the 2nd deck panel. I then created marks where the battery box bulkheads were and then cut out the opening for the bomar aluminum hatch which will cover the battery box. I'...

Hi Mark, I may be interpreting your post incorrectly when it comes to PVC Pipe, but the white Plumbing stuff at Home depot is rigid and there would be no way to get that inside of the stringer. it is all a set of decisions, one decision drives another. I moved the batteries from the stock location in order to get a larger fuel tank. I've got to get this whole setup together by early next week so I can put my fuel tank in and glass down my deck next weekend. I'll post pics as I go.

when I gripe about sanding fiberglass for my project I look at what you are doing and say to myself, "bring on more sanding" because from the descriptions and pics, the work you are doing is way more complicated and precise than anything I am trying to accomplish.

Tony,
Good point and I would expect that to occur. The last little bit would be a pain every time.
As an I/O, she was an A$$ dragger at rest so it wouldn't be an issue, getting up on plane would put the water backwards as well.

at those prices I might attempt it myself as I've had a desire to try vacuum bagging a fiberglass part and could use the vacuum pump more than once.
