I found that my passengers typically wanted to sit in the stern of the boat on the engine cover, 2 people on the engine cover + a full livewell, the boat would wallow, if I could get those people to sit in front of the center console the boat ran better. I never ran with a lot of weight in my cabin ...

Captbone, I will be curious as well, I know I took a lot of weight out of the boat with various different components but I did put quite a bit back and I believe that I have taken steps to keep the weight as close to my old configuration as possible where the weight on the boat was more concentrated...

When you start with the bar really low, there is only one way to go, up. Then again, if you had my luck, you'd trip over it :)

the backing pieces fully fill up under the gunnel, here's a pic of the stern when I was building the motorwell. I put in the forward rod holders in last night and reinstalled my mid ship cleats. might be a required part for some in the boating population.....

I recently was told a story by a new boater how they put 10+ gallons of gas down a rod-holder onto their deck while on a trailer at a gas station. I'm not sure how their nose didn't catch that sooner amazes me.

I was able to get the 11/32" drill bit and tried drilling out the rubber puck, it went through the rubber but not a clean hole. I've put the puck in the freezer and will try re-drilling the hole when I get a chance.

Your boat is the only one I've seen which competes with that rig, I see where in my opinion his boat is nicer in some cases and your boat nicer in other cases. If you could get that guy's asking price or anywhere near it, I would say go for it.
