Thanks.... all good stuff. Raybo I wish that was it. 1" solid back is about 500-750 depending on the supplier per 20' (316).

Also, I am not going to weld. Just butt joints.

Any leads on tuna door hinges....

I have a few questions for my rebuild. Is 316 stainless on the rub rail that much better for the cost than 304? I don't know the company, but someone barges it to Puerto Llimon in CR and you can trailor it down but it is a hike.

I believe you can barge port Canaveral to Colon in Panama. Not 100% sure sorry.

Spencer, We sent our boat to Golfito, CR via dockwise. Most boats go that way to Panama get dropped off by dockwise in Golfito and then run down. Would have to leave your tailor behind on that one. You can get fiberglass strips from Mcmaster-carr, I would glue them to thinken your edge and then fill and sand to make a nice rounded edge and paint it!

I would paint it! If you want fuel eff. and speed and don't keep the boat in the water try VC Offshore or the other VC from interlux. I used VC Offshore and loved it. A lot of guys in NJ are using it and loving it! I haven't used it personally but that is what is going on my boat. It gets good reviews. My paint guys says it is better than imron and awlgrip, for what it is worth.

Was supposed to fly down to Costa Rica fri. morning, some nice marlin around, no sails! They cancelled the flight and said mon at the ealiest. Got my money back and will head down in April or July when snow is hopefully not an issue!

Nippers! It is a life altering exp. try to time it out for the pigroast! Some good Marlin fishing off Guana starting in April, gets better later into the summer. Off Green Turtle Cay is some great bottom fishing, it is the next major cay west from Guana!

2500 is nothing if maintained properly.....never did bus. with tolchester but heard great things. If you sea trial the boat make sure it turns at least 2950 wot if doesn't it isn't propped right and walk away. That motor is great except when over propped. They made them back in 88 but i think state side then. They later moved them to Costa Rica. The bertram is a lot better ride! the Palm beach is a great custom day boat and raise fish all day long. But, too flat of a back and just can't handle any kind of weather.

It is the palm beach 30, the 32 is a little different. Pretty boats. Composite construction nice boats but get a little hairy in a following sea. I think all the 30's were single engines.
