Exhaust tubes

What is the best way to glass in the exhaust tubes to the transom? I was thinking epoxy with some 1708 tabbing and then epoxy with a heavy duty filler as a final filet. Thanks.

Capt Pat Cockpit floor

I am making up my cockpit floor out of 3/4 Penske board. Am I OK with 3 layers 1808 biaxle (Curve is 1/4" per foot) on the underside or do I still need some roving? I was planning on one layer of 1808 on top with a layer of mat is that OK? Thanks. Happy Holidays!

It is not just manufactures anymore......two of the four sportfishing lodges in our area have closed their doors and two others are having a difficult time. Pretty sad! The whole industry is being affected.

Tony, haven't made much head way lately....the inside is all ground down. Just getting everything ready for installing the struts, rudders then the motor beds. I have been down mostly Sun. as of late. The Eng bulkhead should be in this week or next.

I am reinstalling my stuts and the old silicone bronze bolts aren't long enough with the new backer plate. Can I use stainless or is that going to be a problem. We are the benefits one over the other? Thanks Greg

Just a heads up, most of th fish have moved up into the Claw area. Some real nice sized with some true giants caught. Some where just north of the claw a 637 was taken.

The price of the rebuilt ones $2400 with all the adaptors for my motors, new is $3700. They do have a warrantee, but i agree in most cases warrantees are b.s.. I found these rebuilds through a dealer in Wisc.. Most of my stuff I find on boat diesel though.

Any thoughts on buying rebuilt gears? I am looking for a pair of zf 220a's 1.5-1. someone recommend buy them rebuilt, but they are not done buy the factory, but by someone who does several hundred rebuilds a year(various gears). Does it matter? Thanks!

I am in the middle of a repower and looking at trannies, I have a pair of Cummins 300 btas/ I always thought to use a pair of 220a's but a friend mentioned that the 63a's will work just fine and are quite a bit cheaper. Any thoughts?
