In rebuilding mine, I have found "Boat 168" written on many different parts. In some cases it was under the formica which I removed to replace with new. Some of the parts had the date written on it too, along with what I presume was a part number and some had someone's initials also. What I think is...

I'm getting the same engines in mine at the same place (HMS Hound) and by everything I have heard and everything I've seen we couldn't be in better hands than at Carver's. Capt Vic's summary is the same thing Chris told me, what two different Cummins dealers have told me, and what I've been told by ...

I'm redoing my '61 and one thing I have learned is that the gel coat on the older boats tend to craze. I think it had to do with the formula that they used which I have been told continues to cure to this day which causes it to craze. I think they fixed this issue in later years but I don't know whi...

I'm doing a total rebuild of my '61 Sportfisherman (flybridge, open bulkhead). I have seen some really nice Bahia Mars with custom enclosures and I think they are some of the best looking boats around. I don't think you could find a better boat that you can handle and fish yourself or with six guys ...

Ray, I don't think so. I be lucky if the Hound is back in for Fall stripers. See you out there. Look for me in a 17' Montauk.

Repower sale Crusader 454s

Carver's in Point Pleasant NJ is in the midst of repowering my B-31 with Cummins 270s and I have to get rid of the whole works from the 1993(maybe older, who knows) Crusader 454s w/ 1/1 trans, shafts, struts, props. I'd be guessing at the hours but they ran very well. Anyone have any ideas where and...

B 28

I have a friend who is selling a B-28 and it is in good shape and he took care of it. I noticed it in a listing at Brightwater Yacht Brokers in Point Pleasant Beach and you can look at the listing on line. I know that it has been for sale for a while. Good luck!
