It does make a more stable loom. It also allows for heat to build up. I wouldn't worry about that tho. If the circuit is designed properly and not overloaded then all is well.
I couldn't imagine taking delivery of something like a big Spencer and not having a wiring diagram. Wow.

What he said - but also when you paint by numbers with wiring diagrams it's easier to build. It's easier to test and it's a better connection. It allows the connection to be made with ring terminals and not butt splices - notorious for failure. That photo btw is a super clean install. Custom and nic...

I've seen a few Ryobivich boats priced affordably. Its the maintenance of a wooden boat that kills mere mortals. There is no way we can replace a keel log in a boat like that.
