Everything I painted held up well so far three seasons and looks good still.i just sanded filled primed with awlgrip 545 and top coat awlcraft 2000.

Will I haven’t had any issues at all everything is working out great I have well over 200 hours on the boat now in many different conditions and no problems. If you need any thing specific like pictures I have thousands of pictures so don’t hesitate to reach out.

Best of luck with your build if you do your research on this site you can find a lot of great information on here. I have met many great people during my build the Bertram community has some great members. It is a lot of work but well worth it in the end mine is 8 years and counting for me.

Well that is a tear down for sure. I understand the snowball affect that cost me 6 years of solid work every minute I could but so well worth it in the end. Keep the pictures coming it’s great to see so many members bringing our boats back to life again.

I lowered my motors moved them back as far as I could dropped them into the bilge as far as I could glassed in new shaft logs,modified the struts,fabricated all new motor mounts. Good luck with the rebuild she looks to be a great boat to start with. A lot of work already done some elbow grease should cleanup nice then make a punch list and get started. Keep the pictures coming we all like pictures.

JJ my top end was 38 knots I cruise at 2400 rpm and I am 29 to 30 knots.

I changed my shaft angle and moved my engines back and down as far as possible. I was able to get 11.5 degrees. The boat rides great cruise 30 knots. I did cut mine out I spoke with Jimmy G he cut it out on two boats and I kinda took some direction from him. Haha!! Carl I learned from an old engineer on commercial boats to put my sandwich wrapped in tin foil on the engine always worked well. It is getting cold for me I don’t have an enclosure yet.but I have a little buddy heater if I need to thaw out my hands lol! Or the boys can warm up.my boat hauler ...

Any hydraulic shop should be able to help you. I went with continental blue with push on fittings. Worked great cut and made all mine right on the boat I will look for a link somewhere.

Carl I thought I would see you out there I have been sneaking out after work as well. Fishing has been pretty good. I might just pull the boat soon as well I did have a Great season but I have stuff to get to work on. Put 90 hours on her this season ran flawlessly.

No fuel burn readings on the gauges I just stick the tank. The fill is straight down in the deck got it figured to like 10 gallons an in. That was running out like 25 knots and running home at 29.
