Carl I used 2.38” ID x 3”OD inside and 3” ID x 3.5 OD works perfectly after I sanded the inside tube. I am going with 1 3/4” shafts. It may work for you as well. https://www.shaftseal.com/pss-pro-shaft-seal.html

The PSS now has an upgraded bellows that is silicone and lasts longer than the original. If you go conventional style just run them in like Tony from seaboard does cant go wrong either way it’s personal preference.

Carl I have a set of original shaft logs and backing strips. I also have the 5 in bronze angled exhaust outlets if you didn’t get some yet. I am not to far from you.

There is a guy in Miami that just did one with out boards I couldn’t get the video to load. It is Strictly Yamaha the boat is southern comfort. He is currently doing another one. Not my cup of tea but they looked pretty good .

I built pads out of coosa they have a 1/2 in piece of aluminum recessed into them that is threaded. They will be beddd to the hull then glassed over. Should be way stronger than original.

No problem I am rebuilding a FBC from the hull up right now. You can learn a lot on this site. Some of these guys have built up some beautiful boats on here. Check out the Building tips section there is lots of goodd stuff in there. Best of luck on your build.

I have cut it in a chop saw and Also use a cut off wheel on a 4in grinder both work well. I used that to build a door frame in my new bulked. Check it with a straight edge it dose have some deflection to it.

Mack I had a cutting out issue with my crusader 454 and it was the pick up coil under the distributor. When the motor got hot the glue would get soft and the wires would come away and cut out. When it was cold it ran great. Changed it out retimed motor and it ran great.

I don’t know about 1in but Barnagat Light Fiberglass Supply carries 1/2 in for sure. I used garolite to make my strut pads you can find it on McMasterCarr usually have it the next day. John I built mine out of two 3/4in pieces of Coosa as well. My measurements say it will be fine with two inches to spare. I will be glassing it in this week. One day I will figure out how to post pictures on here. I used west system on everything.

Imtra carries zipwake go here and search it if your interested some of these systems have active type ride control when the boat develops a list it corrects it automatically. Dug that’s a good question you usually paint your stainless trim tabs with bottom paint it’s probably fine. Some guys use prop speed it works good. Did you get your rudders from Bobby Soles Propeller?

I used a combination of sanding,wire wheel,muriatic acid make sure the wire wheel is stainless so you don’t contaminate the metal. Also wear gloves and a respirator. They come out like brand new.
