John I just sanded the stringers down and beefed up the for and aft bulked when installed then went right to the stringers. John I used pry bars, wedges,chisels,saws all,hammers and a grinder. Cut head of bolts off and drive them out with a drift pin. Somewhere Capt Pat put in a post that wood chisel took off excess epoxy of thickened resin and it did work well. Wear safety glasses or a shield it is like shrapnel flying.

Thanks John I just purchased the garmin reactor 40 smart pump a phantom 24 radar and two 942xsv and a 1242xsv and a garmin vhf. The smart pump just seemed like the way to go!

Tony yes this is a supply for the dripless seals I am also going to tee these together port and starboard side together down closer to the seal. In case I lose one feed for some reason they still have water.

Today I worked on plumbing the dripless shaft seals. I took the end caps off the heat exchanger drilled and tapped them to fit a 90deg fitting then soldered them in place and made new rubber gaskets to accept new fittings. When I did mine on the crusaders on my 31 there was a mix of studs and bolts. On my shamrock Pleasure craft I had to make studs just to hang everything then replace with bolts! I might have made a few studs to leave can’t Remember definitely second what Carl said about grade 8 minimum.

When I pulled mine down the shims were cracked as well. I just mixed up thickened epoxy and put wax paper on the hull side of the rudder port waxed the bolts so nothing would stick to them and bed the rudder into the epoxy until it was straight let dry. Carl that’s definitely an idea I will keep in mind. I think I can squeeze the insulation on there the motor box still has the old stuff inside as well. I am going to strip that off and see what it looks like.

Finished starboard side exhaust mock up and started port side tonight. The elbow right off the turbo is a little tight to the engine box but I think I will get the wrap on there with a little finesse. Mickey I did on this because I thought I didn’t have enough easy fair. It works well but it always has a ton of pin holes when sanded. I much prefer EZ Fair it spreads like marshmallow fluff almost no pin holes when sanded. https://www.pettitpaint.com/products/ep ... s/ez-fair/

Tony I got the idea from Jimmy yes the back of the bench is on a big piano hinge and the bottom bunk goes right to the hull side. Still haven’t figured out how it will stay up for now I just prop it up on 2x4’s. I am thinking either fold down legs or a rope/strap to the ceiling

Yes he does Carl he likes the top bunk with the view! So on the port side it’s pretty easy up over and straight down.
