Post hurricane engine issues

My brother has a 1973 45 Hatteras with huge detroits. Boat survived hurricane Michael but now one engine won't turn over. Pulled injectors seems to be dry, boat did not take on water. Boat was beat up in marina pretty good. Any ideas appreciated? Boat ran day before storm.

Re: 26 Bertram Converrtable

Just can't understand why double 4.3s aren't plenty? Checked my 25 Saturday runs 21 mph at 2500rpm and 31 mph at 3600. With a single screw 383. Are 26s that much heavier?

Re: How many hours are the Cummins good for

We run cummins 5.9 and 8.3s in large farm tractors under heavy tillage probly similar to boat usage . Change injectors every 5000 hrs . Engines good to about 12000 hrs. Then re ring and bottom end , good for 5 to 6000 more. Running 2200 rpms all day .

New stringers, all custom driveline. Boat unrestored cosmetically , but tons of money spent on repower, wiring , autopi...
