The top of the tower to the waterline on my boat is 20'. I was thinking 31 or 32' was a little long for this boat but Rupp seemed to think that was the magic number.

I spoke to a fellow 31 owner who repowered with used Volvo KAMD 42 engines. He said he got 2.5 mpg! Thats pretty damn impressive to me.

Can you unbolt and move tower legs outboard a little to clear? You should be able to move leg an inch of two and still have flanges bolt flush to gunnel. As you said hinges that allow boxes to slide inboard before pivoting up. If not a lot to move can you install a spacer panel on the outside. I ma...
