Spray Rails on a 31?
So has anybody added them on a 31 and willing to confess to doing so? Do they keep the spray down enough to offset the look of the boat?

Re: Best Battery Location?
I thought about that as well. But we are limited on space and that area is so inviting to put something there. I have filled my companionway under deck areas in the bilge. One has a 3 KW pocket transducer and a livewell, washdown pumps. Another has batteries and the most forward area has a bilge pump.

I was planning on using Group 31's in my B31. Two cranking batteries and two batteries for the house bank which would be located in the bilge just as you enter the cabin, forward of the engines. A friend gave me a pair of 8Ds which I have in the boat temporarily. Another alternative is moving the ba...

Question for you guys as I am ordering new controls soon... I am assuming it’s best to keep with transmission gear/throttle dedicated levers (4 lever system) vs a combined gear/throttle lever? I never heard of Bertram farming out the production Boats here in the US. It is possible that some of the Bertram built boats made their way to another yard for upgrades or changes the owner might have wanted that Bertram would not do. From Halter's website it looks like they build only very large ...

You have to turn the wheel both ways multiple turns to get the air bubbles worked up to the highest pump fitting. Crack open the fitting and let the air out until the fluid comes out. Make sure you have pressure in the bleed tank first. You may have to go through this process a couple of times. BTW,...
