I just pulled my boat Friday at noon and its sitting in my driveway. We disconnected the old engines on Saturday and pulled them Sunday morning! I'm way behind you but I hope to splash the first quarter in 2022. Now if I can just figure out how to post photos!

I vividly remember your thread on the refurbishment of your 42 B. Frankly what you did was better than factory new. I had that nauseous feeling when you said that you needed a bigger boat after using the 42 for awhile.

I pretty much think I've worn out my friends with the 31 project which is still another 4 to 6 months to complete.

I'm not sure I can sell them on a 2 year likely 3 year B42 project.

I came across a nice B31 in Spanish Wells named FV-Wahoo.com. From a distance I admit I was a little jealous because the boat looked better that my boat. The old girl is registered in the Abacos and has no engines but she's a sweet ride.

Mike,

I think the lycoming presets are 450F on the CHTs. Thats way too high IMO. Lycomings fly hotter than Continentals but 450F is still to high, kinda like the rent. You may be able to fly LOP which should bring your CHTS down to the 370F to 380F.

Spend a lot of time reading this forum and look at a lot of pics. Many boats have been heavily modified. When you think you know what you want then make a pilgrimage to Bertram Heaven to see some really fine boats.
