Correction it is a petronix flame thrower igniter distributor and matching flamer thrower coil
There is no external ignition box


All filters have been replaced as well as fuel pump
I will check timing last time was set at idle with vacuum gauge

Port engine loses power at 2800

Hi all I have 28bert with twin 260’s Port side has had some electrical issues and I thought they were resolved looking for new places to trouble shoot. When I try and get on plane the port engine is fine until 2800 rpm then as I advance throttle the rpms fall off if I pull back. Then they come back....

There are two completed projects near me one has at 26 fly bridge with Twin 4 bangers taken out and replaced with a 496 and bravo 1 drive it cruises at 28-30knots and sips fuel the other was a25 hard top Which had a pod attached and now has twin 250 verados so far top speed is 51 knots but they are ...

I think you are correct my small vent was replaced and blocked off for large vents which let in lots of air and water.

Not my blowers they are connected to the big clam shell vents on the gunnel. one bringing fresh air into engine compartment and one removing it one each side

it is a 1977 with 350 mercruisers.

Hi all on my B28 there are two louvered vents on on each side of the boat they are about where the step is 3 inches below the rub rail and on mine they are blocked off on inside
Any idea what they are /were for ?

Thanks Pete and Tony , I am thinking now about the Liberty series 5000a in 1.52:1. This will allow me to have two LH rotation engines and change one in transmission to cr.
Has anyone else re powered without CR motor and used different transmissions ?

Thanks boat is from Michigan so fresh water but I will be using in salt in Vancouver. It will need to be switched to a closed system. I found I think there is no how tank but looks like it was plumbed at one time and the waste system is probably best if I start from scratch starting with ball valve ...
