If you can't loosen the rub rail screws[like me] the yard that painted my hull used a 3m double sided body molding tape from a auto body shop and stuck them on under the rub rail been on for 4 years never fell off and just replaced them this year.

Had my bottom blasted and as expected a couple of eraser size blisters and checked the site and Capt. P recommended 3M Marine Prem. Not sure where to look 1st I was out of commission for 2 weeks after almost chopping a finger off ran the boat Labor Day weekend and lost about 300-400 rpm's off the top end can't get them past 4k and my cruise at 3k rpm's dropped about 1-2 knots.I was thinking the bottom had gotten some growth and ...

Thanks guys I was afraid it was to abrasive and I would wind up with thinned out paint where the streaks always are after some rain.By the way I have used it on gelcoat and the deck and if it sits to long it will yellow and I found by using Spray Nine on them it would get rid of them.BR Bill G

1st ride and a slight vibration at 3k rpm's and up.Checked the shafts,struts and props didn't see anything that looked like needed fixing before splashing.Can't feel anything standing at the stern over the struts but it can be felt on the bridge thinking to pull it back out and send out the props?.....

Need some advice what to use on the bottom my dum ass went a little to far sanding the bottom paint off and wound up removing a small section of gelcoat.Did not get into deep just exposed to bare fiberglass do I need to use an epoxy?

Update-compression ck ok,pressure test closed system good but still no idea where the antifreeze came from.Had the motor running letting sit overnight and going to take a look in the morning any other ideas?...txs Bill

Hi Bruce thanks for kicking in, the motor is out of the boat for a timing chain and was in the marina's shop over the winter.It was the 3rd from the front of the motor on the r/s I think that's number 6?and it was green antifreeze?

Pulled spark plugs on Sunday to have antifreeze pour out of one of the cylinders the cylinder is right above a block drain.I can't see any water in the oil could it be a rizor gasket?and would there be any possible damage in that cylinder with the anti freeze in it? Any input would be appreciated......

Txs Rawleigh strange enough ran it on Sunday and it didn't miss a beat and I did nothing except put a pressure gauge on it last week not sure if that's good or bad.1st boat I ever had that fixed it self now I can see why everybody so crazed with these little boats. BR ....Bill

Txs again Peter it's been the same for me for 2 seasons I retanked 4-5 yrs ago and replaced my gas lines with ethanol proof rubber hose from the tank to the pump and last year that same side ran like crap found black particles in the in line filter and replaced the hose and rebuilt carb but the prob...

Sounds almost exactly like my problem when I kicked in the secondaries the idle would surge up and down,when I shut it down and restarted it it would be normal.Originally I was thinking I had 2 separate issues but I'm now thinking fuel pump.

Has anyone had a fuel pump problem? Have a gremlin I can't find idle drops by itself- rebuilt carb,swapped distributers,swapped coils and no luck.Someone mentioned to me that possibly the pump is pumping to much pressure to the Quadrajet causing to much fuel and bringing down the idle? pressure at 7...
