Probably will rip it out I did use some stuff called J-B Weld a liquid cold weld and I seem to remember it worked anyone else ever used it?sold at Home Depot.

Have a leak on one of the top necks[at the weld] of my mercruiser heat exchanger anybody tried Marine Tex for the repair or any other epoxy or am I fooling myself and rip it out and send it out?..TXS-Bill G.

Kevin, thinking the same and gave a quick shot at it on sun. but I think you'll find the space between the 2 stringers and the floor will be different on each side will need a little crafting.Let me know if you come up with anything better.........................TXS-Bill

Hey Rawleigh, that is the only area that doesn't have any cross support at all there's about a 2 inch gap betwen the floor and stringers.

My 28's foward cabin floor has some flex just in back of the foward inspection hatch for the bilge pump.Looks like the only fix without ripping out alot of stuff is to maybe put a support beam between the stringers and floor any problems with using the stringers for support?,unless there's a way I m...

I have a set of 230 merc small blocks have allways set the timing a couple of degrees behind, 6 deg. vs 8 deg with the thought of no pinging and engine life.Do I have much to gain going to the manufacturers spec of 8 deg.? any pros or cons?. txs, Bill G.

I have a 28 with and ditto on the running the engines and ckg gauges,I had a shift cable snap last year[thought it would make it till the and of the season thought wrong]on the bridge controls so having the back up made it alot easier getting back to the dock. Bill G.
