Thanks to all...it sure does give your spirits a lift...the elbows are trident marine 6" elbows, bought them for the exhaust install but went a total different direction. Kevin the lights are LEDs. Shift, throttle, trolling valve cables are next, one more bilge pump..then the deck goes on for good.....

Chris, My 66 had the same issue on the entire hull and bottom, took it down to thin light green film showing through, rolled on several layers of epoxy and pressed it into any pinholes that showed up, faired the entire bottom then epoxy with barrier additive, about 12 coats total, faired again...tha...

Tom, Soda works great...a local guy has done a lot of work for me including a 56 Mack B model. Soda leaves a film that inhibits rust from forming...lesson I learned the hard way on the Mack was neutralize and clean thoroughly BEFORE painting...my painter did not like the idea of washing bare metal.....

Kevin, I went the west epoxy route with barrier coat additive, did about 8 coats. Kevin, Those batteries run about 300+ each...Long life is why I bought them...Tony the box was made out of 1/4 g-10, over 3/4 airex, 1708 skin on out side and tabbed to hull with two layers 1708, added a 1/4" rubber pad between both batteries to act as a cushion, two S/S threaded rods bedded in epox...

Dug, My boat measured around 9' long, Id say 10 for extra to cut n fit. The width if you go over toe kick Capt Pat showed above, 13" should be enough to compensate for the curve, same dimension should do for the transom curve as well.
