Joe, Regardless of the material you MUST tie the shelf together..way too much stress on this area...I used two layers of 3/4 okume coated with epoxy and coverd with 1708, then I tabbed it to the hull with two layers of 1708 and through bolted it to the stringers...keep your upper bearing as high as ...

Joe, I had a blank slate when I started, main goal was low center of gravity, thats why I centered it, the genny sits on an I beam grid that holds it about 16" off the bottom, water gets above that im in deep do...but thats why I did the crash pumps...Like Jp said give some thought to your ducers be...

Bob, Gotta try peel n ply when your glassing your deck, lay up as normal and lay the peel n ply into the wet resin/mat, take a glass roller and work it till its smooth and no air bubbles, go back next day, peel it off and it leaves a great texture much like a fabric pattern, need very little fairing...

Frank, The top is two layers of 3/4 foam, two layers of 1708 and one layer 1.5 oz cloth, thats on both sides of the roof and cabin, one extra layer of 1708 on the underside of the roof overhang. Took the next big step today..hoisted the roof onto the cabin scribed the cabin walls...bonded the two with plexus and used a big fillet of plexus in side and out..tomorrow I will tab it to the cabin with two layers of 1708..then its time to cut out the windows..BH http://i269.photobucket.com/albums...
