Todd, Murray Brothers makes a great helm chair but big $$, Maybe you could find a decent used chair and rehab it to you liking. To build your own you will still need the hardware, you can rechrome and rehab for much less that new. BH

Bob, Id keep the gunwale just the way you have it, to add teak coaming would be a bear. I started by laying out & rebuilding gunwales, removing bertram lip ,making the surface flat and much easier to lay woodwork on. Rick, I went with 6" centubulars made by centex, they do have a cone inside to reduce back flow but I also went with Y surge tubes, made my own since nothing off the shelf will fit "just right", gives you piece of mind, make sure you pitch exhaust back as much as possible, also keep 12" above water ...

Cam thats a serious stringer grid. Made of coosa? Id go with plastic barrells with threaded caps for your weight test. I just picked up a couple from a local carwash, the soap they use are shipped in 55 and 30 gallon drums, when you get done you can use them for livewells.BH

Ive found the same info surfing the web on rudder design and position, go fast boats do hang the rudders way off the back but most of the boat is out of the water. I wonder how that bahi mar Elite marine rehabed with those transom rudders performed? Im with harry on moving the rudders forward..OUCH....
