John, I used Sika flex 265, after I lagged it to the hull I drilled a series of 1/4" holes and used a serious commercial caulking gun, pumped into each hole until it squeezed out the next, then move down and repeat. Frank I used a roller on 545 took a couple of coats, it then has to be sanded anyhow to do your fairing, then topped again with 545, before painting light sand again, paint, if its not smooth enough sand again, paint, repeat till your happy. The 545 seals in your work and gives the paint a good laye...

Cam for the large flat surfaces I started with a big 8" orbital with a soft pad, then I used the hutchins hustler 2" x 24" air board then the final step longboard by hand starting with 80 grit then move on up to 220 or better. Smooth and flat are two different animals. BH

John, I also drilled 1/4 holes every six inches and used sika flex with a heavy caulking gun, pumped it into the middle of the three holes until the sika oozed out of the other two, then I moved down and repeated process. David, I have the same engines, haven't launched the boat yet, I have been shooting for 15-18 gph combined, I would be thrilled with 15 gph, my outboard burned 17 gph in half the boat..BH

Pete, I hold around 300 gallons that should allow for plenty of joy rides..I am on the other end of the spectrum with my kids 24, 22, 13 ...keep the little guys to short day trips..in time it all falls into place..BH

Keith, Deck on my 31 has a 6" step up at the engine boxes, that should keep some of a monster wave from making a b line into the cabin, if the pit gets flooded I can put her in gear and open the tuna gate and dump a few thousand gallons pretty quick. Keith, Totally agree with Mr. Lico on the following sea performance of the 31, stern parachute I won't comment on, Brewster has had the most drifting experience at night in the canyons off the north east, we have talked quite a bit about a parachute off the starboard quarter/nose, he also is chunkin...

I used a 2 qt pressure pot conventional gun..JP gave me a tip which I swear by...take a sheet of formica put in your paint area, get the gun set up just right on this test piece then spray hull, go back to test panel after 30-45 minutes finger test, looking for tacky then shoot the hull again..too s...
