A plastic container is fine. The stuff won't react with anything but acrylic.... Most plastic containers are polyethylene. A squeeze bottle with a stainless pipette is the most controllable and convenient.

As far as I know, the main difference between what Athens does and what one of us might do is the degree of professionalism and finesse... The materials are pretty much the same. I've never done it myself, but have be planning on it for quite a while on a set of motorcycle exhausts.

Rick, The two principle componebts are the thermal wrap and the thermal wrap coating. The over all thickness needs to be at least 3/4" thick and I've seen it built up as thick as 2". Don't do it... It all comes down to whose advice you want to take. Cutting BIG corners will usually lead to a damaged wheel when you hit the curb or a flip into the bar ditch....a few people have tried to convince me it would be fine to do this.

Amine is one of the chemicals in all epoxies and as the epoxy cures any excess amine that didn't link with the hardener will migrate to the surface. This is noticed as a slightly greasy film and must be removed before subsequent bonding can be preformed. And when present, no she's an ugly bitch... ...

Called amine blush and it'll act just like a mold release unless removed. The peelply does remove some of it but not always all.waxy top coat of the epoxy
21:15 -- Forgot to mention... Amine is water soluble and amine blush can be removed by scrubbing with soapy water followed by a good rinse.

As long as you have exhaust fans to draw potential gas fumes overboard. Otherwise all other vents are for supplying the minimum air flow to the engines at WOT and can be passive. The engines will draw in their needed air as long as the vent sizing is adequite...

Under Coast Guard requirements the engine bilge is to be closed from all other common bilges in order to contain oil from reaching a bilge pump. Joe, For a production mold I make it much heavier and better reinforced, but even one off molds need, and get, the same 9 step considerations... It's still easier to cut up and discard an intact one off mold than to tear the mold away from part. There's little difference in the mold building one way...

The pink stuff along the out board side of the deck, in the image above is Awlfair over an 1/8" of glass atop the outboard deck joist and faired to the hull. It becomes the outboard water race directed to the scuppers.
