John, The main surface prep for the PVC foam board is to heavily abrate the faces of the strips so that whatever adhesive you use has a good tooth to grip to. A B31 cabin door is tiny in comparison to even a single residential entry door, more like a broom closet door... Forget about floating the panel in the styles and epoxy the parts together. Your expansion/contraction of the panel would be absolutely minimal.

The solenoid and gauges are independant. A solenoid is dpdt switch that allows low amp power to close the switch and complete the flow of high amp current between the battery and engine and is connected only to the ignition switch. Check your connections, especially grounds...

John, How clean/dirty was the gas that you removed? If it wasn't that dirty, I'd just put in 30 gal or so of diesel so that you can get through the repower start up and brief runs then, once in the water again, top off the tank and closely monitor your Racors, changing the filters as often as necess...

Sounds like you have the old Sendure style strainers that the screen slides into a slotted track on both sides and has 2 screws at the aft end. If so, use a liberal amount of Tefgel in the slots and on the screen edges. Future problem solved...

Be sure that your bonding is good, not only to your through hull fittings, but also to the external strainers. At least one of the screw holes in the strainer should have a through bolt to be connected with the bonding wire... Possibly why your bronze screens disintegrated.

Hmmm.... Don't know, I've just always refrained from freezing anything that could be harmed in any way by ice crystals. Some chemical compounds and solutions can break down, seperate, and not re-mix after freezing. Better safey than sorry I guess.

Not the freezer, but in the fridge below 40 degrees. Let it warm back to room temperature over night. I keep an 1 1/2" #14 screw in the bib. Remove the nozle and clean it out between uses. I've had it last up to a year this way...

Try T-Nuts.com... You'll probably have to buy longer bolts and cut to the correct length. Use a good isolation lube, such as TefGel when re-assembling.
