If I don't go bubble hunting until 20-30 minutes after application won't all the acetone or alcohol have left the epoxy by then? Most volatile liquids, alcohol and acetone included, will flash off within that time frame if they are not part of a mix. Mixed with a resin however they remain volatile ...

Oil and oil filter at 100 hrs or 1 year, which ever comes first. Earlier can be prudent, but rarely necessary.

The pressure plate is slightly warped and dragging... Usually not a big problem, but if it gets to the point of actually moving the boat when in neutral, the pressure plate will need replacing.

A few of the B31s, with original 1 1/4" shafts and short struts, had a shaft angle of 10º. The vast majority of B31s, with original 1 3/8" shafts and the longer struts, have a 15º shaft angle.

If that price includes pulling, replacing, alignment, the painting, and he'll warrantee against future leaks for a reasonable time period, it's more than reasonable. Question him closely for a turn key price... To do the job correctly, yes the engines should be pulled.

I think my first move would be to check engine alignment and then add a bit more compression to the shaft bellow by adjusting the stationary collar on the shaft back a 1/4"... Did you run the boat from Doug's location?
