It's a boat… And they tend to get water everywhere… Whether it's sea water from the outside, condensate from the air or whatever… Also take into account that the anchor locker drains into the bilge. Unless you seal up the floor of the locker and dedicate a drain hose from there to the cockpit bilge...

If they're genuine painted on stripes, not just vinyl stripes, the only way out is sanding, priming, and re-paint. I believe that Bertram experimented with actually applying gelcoat stripes, applied in the mold. Same solution as paint. However, if they're vinyl, use a vinyl eraser... http://search.e...

You can effectively increase the diameter of the 17" wheels by adding more cup to the blade tips. A medium cup will produce the same effect as increasing the diameter by 1".

Sand down to glass, build a fillet in the corner, then two layers of epoxy & glass. Sand up and over the upper section and back 3" on the lower...

Always, always, close the raw water valves to engines & generator before hauling the boat out of the water and only opening them back up when the boat is back afloat. That practace will save many an impeller...Think I am going to try closing the intake valve before lifting her in the future.

Eric, Plumb in a T to each blank hole in the manifold plate. Port engine and generator return to one, starboard engine return and vent to the other. Water in the cockpit bilge is inevitable regardless of the deck style... My main reasoning for isolated bilges is that cockpit water stinks and I don't want it under the cabin sole.

Peter, There are limber holes at the aft end of the outboard stringers that drain water. The wood blocks in the forward bilge are backing plates and the wires are to sintered bronze grounding plates on the exterior of the hull. To keep the forward bilge dry you'd have to isolate the bilge at the cab...

Sinks usually drain directly overboard. The drain should still have a goose neck to prevent diamond rings from loss or insects from entering if the drain is above the waterline.Do sinks drain to the same holding tank as the toilet?
