Not sure I follow you... Arborite is a high pressure laminate, (similar to Formica but thinner), and .039" thickness is only a little over 1/32".

20 psi is a bunch... I think a constant 2psi and some soapy water will allow you find any air leak.Was thinking maybe 20 PSI is the most I would want to do

Stu, The product is " made from select high-grade King StarBoard® recycled high-density polyethylene ", and as such, I don't think it'll be paintable. It will be heavier than PVC Foam Board , which is, for sure, paintable. I also suspect that the cost will be higher than PVC FB. National Lumber show...

Yannis, Create a floor for your anchor locker on a slope down forward. Fit a 3/4" PVC pipe between the low point and running aft and below the cabin sole through the cockpit/cabin bulkhead. Yup, plywood will work, but weight will be a factor... No need to get expensive marine ply for this application. John, Bertram did add some coring to the boxes, if you could call a "core"... They used a 1/2" material that I suspect was the old version of Homasote and it was very sensitive to moisture absorbtion. It was just Bondo'ed on and a single layer of mat was overlaid. Don't know what B31 you're refering to, but yes a sedan could have been ordered with the head, (normally on port side), moved to the V-berth and without an aft bulkhead. It would essentially be a sportfish without a flybridge. Could have been ordered that way also...

Use a FULL FLOW through hull valve and go up one size on the external strainer... A standard valve is a choke point and full flow valve is actually matched for the size of through hull fitting you need.

Craig, Guest is a good brand, but certainly not my my only recommendation... ProMariner is also good. I don't think you need a monitoring system, but you do want a Fail Safe model. The term “fail-safe” in this application is an engineering term that describes the default failure mode of the isolator...
