Space is always a premium on the B31, and from a system point of view, the placement of the resorvalve is totally optional. Just look for a space that is dry, out of the way, and accessible...

You should be OK then, but plan to mix and pour only 1/2 gallon per pour, (qt each part a & b), and allow 20 minutes between pours. You shouldn't need to wet sand or even heavy compound. After cleaning the wax off you might want to use 3M Finess-It, then the Meguiar's Machine glaze. Wax is old technology...

Naptha will remove wax as will Dawn dish washing soap... Sanding only moves the wax around. Once clean, use a non-wax polymer sealant such as Meguiar's machine glaze.
