Re: Hynautic steering help

Jimmy,

By proportional valve, are you referring to the resorvalve?

Space is always a premium on the B31, and from a system point of view, the placement of the resorvalve is totally optional. Just look for a space that is dry, out of the way, and accessible...

Re: Awlgrip question

DJ, "Regular" Awlgrip is a non-repairable top coat, meaning the final surface sprayed is what you get and live with; bugs, fish-eyes, sags, dead spots, etc. Coverage is 210 sq ft per gallon. A B31 hull, guard rail to waterline, is about 175 sq ft, so just under a gallon per coat. Let me suggest that...

Jimmy, I ran into a problem on Hancock's B31... One coil of the 3/8" hydraulic line wasn't enough to complete a 2 line Seastar run. I had to order another coil, (supplier won't just cut the necessary remainder), leaving me with a lot of excess. You're running 3 lines with the resorvalve. You will pr...

You should be OK then, but plan to mix and pour only 1/2 gallon per pour, (qt each part a & b), and allow 20 minutes between pours.
