Makes me think of the definition of a "Wanchese Luau"...
A 6 pack of Pabst Blue Ribbon & a road kill possum.
Wanchese is the little town on the south end of Roan Oak Island & original home of the Buddy Davis Boat Works. Jim Bailey is a co-owner of that historic piece of real estate now...

John, Thanks for ramrodding the first Keys Rendezvous, even though it was a sparce turnout! There's gotta' be 30 to 40 classic Bertrams within 100 miles of the Keys. Maybe we can figure a way to motivate at least a dozen of them next year. Glad that the few that did make it had a good time. Br, Patr...

Plug up your scuppers, Buddy, and get the engines cranked and warmed up before you load the crew. Check your bilge pumps. If your gas tank isn't full already, don't put any more in. You'll be pushing the limits... Two trips could be a wise decission. It ain't like you're running to the caynons. Br, ...

Basic installation of the copper bonding strip: This is some of the 35 year old copper strip that was removed. While there were some relatively OK sections, there were more areas that were corroded beyond the point of acceptable & more than several open gaps along the run. http://bertram31.com/proj/...

Craig,
I've never tried mechanically polishing anodized aluminum, but you don't want to use any heavy abrasive or you'll cut through the anodization. Try 3M Finesse-it II

Scot, Sucessfully painting aluminum is, like any material to be painted, plated, or coated, dependant on proper prep techniques. Aluminum oxidizes almost instantly when air contacts the freshly abrated surface so the first step, after sanding or blasting, is to thouroughly acid wash the item. The mo...
