Mike, Toe in or out is needed only to keep enough water pressure against the rudder blades to reduce or eliminate chatter throughout the linkages. 1/2" to 3/4" total is sufficent. The outer shell is fiberglass & molded from a 2 part mold. After that cures, I bed the core in, (takes 6 fitted pieces), and cover the core with a layer of 1208 biaxle fabric. All done before removing the console from the mold...

Congrats, She looks great! If what you're saying about being low on WOT rpms is that you can't turn up fully, you are way over propped and need to address that immediately... On the 6LPs, you need to be able to get at least 3,900 rpms at full throttle.

Gary,

I would paint them myself... Thoroughly clean with a degreaser, soap and water, followed by an alcohol cleaning. Dry & prime with a good epoxy primer, (2 coats), & then use Trilux for metal as the bottom paint.
