So I am assuming Ethanol in fuel is the only thing that will ruin the fiberglass tanks? If the tester shows up negative for ethanol, than I can assume my tanks are healthy? Steve, Both ethanol & methanol are detrimental to fiberglass tanks. The alcohol tester will not test for methane, but it's pre...

I had wondered the same thing. Is that because you can't trust the shape of the hull any longer? Two reasons: First is that it would still need a high quality repair & complete resurfacing of the hull in preperation of making a split mold, but secondly, (more important), it would take a company, (o...

Hull is still in fair shape Don't you believe it... If you've ever had any first hand view of what fire does to a fiberglass & resin layup, you'll know that the resin literally cooks out of the glass. David, You can split, if at least temporarily, but use a "Y" connector rather than a "T" connector. The middle port is the supply connection, with the other two, (at equal angles), going to the shaft logs. Put differently, looking at it, turn the Y upside down. The connector at the top is the supply...

Tony, The thin plywood under the dash isn't thick enough to hold screws, so it's a pretty good bet that the only thing holding it is 5200.
