Bradley, Here's three shots of Hancock's boat with final installation of 3.5KW gen set, holding tank, and air boxes... The tank is polyethelyne covered with 1" Sound Down, primarily for heat protection, and came from Plastic-Mart . Part #MWT-B181RC, dimensions are 30"L x 18"W x 10 1/2"H. http://bert...

John, Isspro Ultimate Sender is the way to go... Converting the tank for diesel will require new 3/8" supply hoses and adding new 3/8" return lines. The return lines will go into the fuel fill manifold plate. You may need to drill and tap the manifold if plug aren't already there. A down tube isn't ...

Re: Fuel Tank Removal Question
I'm guessing this is an ethanol blistered tank and it needs to be replaced. However, I wanted to get some feedback first. For a 40+ year old tank, your's looks pretty good... The very minor blistering is no need for concern and the conversion to diesel is fine. I wouldn't replace the tank unless it...

Another technique, that I use, is to remove the nozzle, clean it out good, insert a 1/4" bolt or #12 screw into the tube tip and wrap it with tape before tossing it into the fridge. I have an office sized fridge, set at about 40ºF just for chemicals. Another tip, if you do fibergl...

They are pushing the limit... If you have access to the back side of the hole, you could put a good glass patch there. If not, you'd be better off grinding down and glass patching the large holes. Are the big ones OK with only Formula 27 as well?

Kevin, Formula 27 will be fine alone in a countersunk screw hole. Counter sink deep enough to leave a slight vertical wall at the top. After pluging the hole with F27 clean around the edge of the counter sink to maintain the vertical wall. this will allow for a slight recess for the gelcoat. Over fi...
