Re: Rewiring, where to start
I recall seeing a shipshape episode where the Pacer Group had built a wire harness for the Logan Foundation give away boat. It used waterproof snap together connectors. There were matching pigtail connectors for the accessories. A quick google search showed a few possibilities for wire harness compa...

. The online reviews are divided into 2 camps: half say they are the best things since canned beer, and the other half say they are the worst junk ever created. Honestly this seems to be the opinion of almost ever bilge pump I look at. I like the idea of the Johnson cartridge pumps but the reviews ...

Re: Fuel Tank Quote Feedback Please
I just finished a boat that had 31 years on a foamed uncoated aluminum tank that honesty could have been re-used but it didn't seem prudent. I also was changing the size of the tank. So I also built a shelf for the new tank to sit on slightly elevated above the bilge with drilled holes in the botto...

You could also switch to a low profile exhaust manifold where the risers are at the back.

Are you saying that too big a trailer is bad? And if so is it because the springs are not bouncing enough? WOW if so never gave it thought like that! Re: Side retracting cleats
I used the folding Accorn 8" cleat on a 25' only because I did not want to make the larger holes/ openings that the popup cleat requires (some are a slot and others are 4 holes IIRC). I also did not want to worry about water getting inside around the cleat somehow. The fold-down cleats are two holes...

Didn’t they stretch the 31’ to 35' on the outboard powered 31 featured in the Florida Sportsman video? As I remember it they had about 500K in that restoration. Todd
Edit--P.S. here is the link to the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tazTfjJqGf4
price was 570K

Steve it definitely doing some R&D on his boat on the power side. I think it is a great exercise to try various options and I commend him for his efforts. I probably fall in to the more traditional camp of wanting to go with adequate power on my B-25. Captain Bone’s experiment proved that a single 2...

Yeah free up deck space and he'd have the extra room under the deck for the additional fuel he'd need to push the boat with outboards. One thing I'm not sure about...now that you free up the two mid sides, what do you do with that upper deck space and what about the lost space at the transom as you...

If you are still thinking about this I have a simple design off an old Penn Yan flybridge that I can take a picture of.
