Mike,
Is Noe going with the Deere or Steyr repower on that bahia mar in his shop? Last time I talked with him, he said that he was going with the Steyrs.
Thanks

UV How you doing buddy? Thanks for all your help in the past. You are a great guy. Reel Cowboy will be painted in a month or so; then I will post some pics. I am looking forward to another UVI. Still looking at engine options. After that half tower/tower + Radar arch; I do not know ... but I am sure...

Good advise Walter. If I am going to go the Cummins route I will probably stick with the 210's. No turbo or after cooler to deal with. My boat will be extremely light and the seas will not allow a 25 knot cruise where I live. I thought I had the Yanmars bought but things did not work out. I have abo...

Any info on the 320 hp? Dealer in Fl made them sound pretty good. Priced about the same as the Yanmar 315's.

Hey Ron, I am meeting Brian Barragy in Bacliff tomorrow to look at my boat. Looks like the fiberglass work is aboutn done. Yanmar LP Exhaust
Quick Question for you LP 315 owners: What inch exhaust do you run out of transom. Looks like 4" at the turbo - do you run the same diameter the whole link or do you upgrade as you go on? One more for you - Are mufflers recommended?

Bruce, I bought a pair of Yanmar lp 315's with ZF 2:1 gears with 1200 hrs out of Orlando. RTO's out of a 32 Rampage. I looked at Yanmarsettlement.com and found out that the serial numbers fall within the covered engines. How will this effect me since I'm not the original owner? I'm still confused af...

Hi Bruce, If you could help me with these questions, I would very much appreciate it. The three engines I am considering for my very light Bahia Mar are 240 & 315 Yanmars and Model 256 Steyr. What brand of transmission and what gear ratio should I go with on each motor? I am getting ready to pull th...

Eddy, Sorry for making you jump through hoops, but, I just sold the Yanmars this morning to a guy in Alabama. He showed up with $18k, loaded them up, and hit the road. Thanks God. He's putting them in a 34' Luhrs. Thanks for all of your help. Glad it's over. Now I'm in the market for something else.

I've got somewhere between 10 and 25 gallons of 2 year old diesel in my tank right now . The inspection plate which holds the pick up tube is off. I just talked to a guy who knows someone thats trying to sell a pair of Yanmar 325 hp LY STE with gears and gauge package. He said they were 1 year old and never started. Capt. Pat, Taking your advice and am going with the Cabrera's. Mike, If the Yanmars don't sell for what I'm wanting for them, then we'll stick them back in. We both know that 20 knots is plenty for the average seas that we have most days here in Tx. If they sell, I'm going with the 256 Steyrs. Eddy,...
