Translate this for me guys...So if one only has 12 inches from the output side center of the strut to the hull, you can at best swing a 20 inch Diameter wheel?? 20inch X 1.20 (20%)= 24 inch Diameter/2=12inches???

I have a pic from a 31 with a Bimini Top only who mounted their single spreader riggers from the house top instead of the gunwale level...Can anyone comment where they had the support stand off in place, and was it adequate to support the riggers in place?? I will be using 1 1/2 shafts...The engines should have around 425 HP and a lot of torque within the cruise range RPM...Do you think I should also try to mount them as far aft as possible with a gas application?? My friends at Merritt's are telling me I absolutely will be needing Trim Tabs...Thoughts...

Hi guys...The struts I am installing are a bit more heavy duty than the ones I removed which supported 1 3/8 inch shafts...They have a square hole type of configuration...I wanted to drill them out and install...What size diameter bolts would you recommend?? Thanks, John

I have looked at 2 Cubavichs in South Florida over the years...Yes, they are all good looking, but all rot from the inside out...Most were laid up old style with glass on the outside and only epoxy on the inside of the hull...You don't have to spend more than a month or two in Merritts or Rybos yard...

Bertramp...In any tower I have ever had, the floor was most typically aluminum with heavy non skid awlgrip...I would absolutely not use starboard...If you want a simple quick solution, I would consider using Kiwi Grip or something similar that would give much better grip than non skid up there...John
