I have the same tachs on my 250s. The hour meter function works off the 12 volt + from each ignition switch - i.e. when the switch is "on", the hour meter runs. I'm not positive whether there is one 12v+ to the whole tach (pretty sure there is) or two, one for the tach function and one for the hour ...

Gert - consider switching to aviation gas. It's trouble to haul around, and more expensive, but not as expensive as a new tank. 10% killed the tanks here, suppose 5% would do the same pretty quickly so keep your eyes on the push rods first.

The av gas has been a solution for many.

Does not sound that bad to me - the zincs are there to be eaten up instead of the good stuff. Your bonding connections look fine to me, the green stuff is normal and a shot of CX will take care of it quickly. Good news, Faithful.....the Garmin 17X HVS GPS anteena/sensor outputs NEMA 0183 and works perfect with my Garmin 2010C plotter...which means it will work with all the older Garmin plotters that use NEMA 0183. Faithful, I'm saddened to report my friend and former driver, Snow Foster has passed away. He had been battling cancer since 2005. Many of you will remember him from UVIs and the FLL boat show. His funeral will be Friday here in Baton Rouge.

I'm sad to report that my friend, client, and the long time harbormaster at Port Eads, Jeffery M. "Buzzy" Scarabin, Sr. die over the weekend. Buzzy ran the Port Eads Marina for some 25 years. He was 69.

His remains will be scattered at Port Eads.

Walt, I've never trusted the check valves - I'd go thrugh the Racor from top to bottom again looking for air leaks, especially in the bowl, its drain, and the small o-ring around the T-handle.
