So whatever happened to inertia????? Objects at rest tend to stay at rest, objects in motion tend to stay in motion????? Energy must be applied to change either, so where does the energy come from to move the disc?????

A lot of the big shrimp boats around here use similar (but a lot larger) devices off their trawl outriggers. Obviously the farther outboard they are the better they work.

Mike, I'll take a stab.....The fuel pickup tube in the main tank is made out of rolled copper and soldered up the seam. We have seen that joint crack and suck air once the fuel level in the tank drops below the crack.

Thanks again Bruce. Just called an appliance parts place and they knew instantly waht I needed. They sell an aftermarket unit that replaces both the klixon and internal breaker for $23. Plugs into the three pins on the compressor and then you wire the two hots to it. Worth a try for sure.
