Re: Worst news-- starboard engine toast
Kill switch didn't cause the failure. The mechanics back yard rebuild would be the culprit in my opinion or just a plain ole part failure.

Re: The Kings Caddy
In case anyone was in any way interested.
The car went for 80k at the last Barrett Jackson auction. Lot #767
The customer wasn't pleased with the final bid but 80k is damn hard to get in this day.

Re: Bertram 25 Weight...for towing
I took possession of mine this past weekend. We took it to the scales and it weighed 7400 lbs including trailor. Flybridge model with .25 tank of fuel and twin 4cyl inboards. I can pull it with my 05 F150 but it is a strain on the brakes. We are looking for an old dually for a tow vehicle. The beam ...

Re: The Kings Caddy
Nice work. How did you get your hands on that one? I am part of a dying breed of mechanics making a living rebuilding carburetors. We see quite a bit of older stuff like this. This particular customer owned a museum filled with different cars and trucks once owned by country music and tv stars. The...

The Kings Caddy
This is one we just finished up for a museum up in Tennessee. 1968 Coupe Deville formally owned by Elvis. The car is headed to a Barrett Jackson and scheduled to run through sat the 21st of this month. The fuel turned so bad that it seized all the intake valves. https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.ne...

Re: 440s...
40hrs running time since I put the boat in and I think I lost an engine. I have read that many of you have had the 440s at some point or another in the older 31s. I am going to do a compression test on the engine tomorrow to get a better idea of what is going on but... my starboard engine is blowin...

Re: Questions on the project list for my 25
Powder coating needs to be done to the ANCI standards or it doesn't last, the problems I have encountered with power coating is when u attach the piece with fasteners, as the fastener gets tighter to the powder coated surface, it will serpent up friction and tend to gall the powder coating and loos...

Questions on the project list for my 25
The fuel tank is still glass and I am going to replace it. Does anyone know of someone that sell these tanks prebuilt or a honest custom builder. The railing and other stainless on this boat are in poor to fair condition. What are yalls opinions on powdercoating? I have a fellow here that can do som...

Re: bertram 25 repower
I have run the 175 and the Yamaha 150. The Suzuki has a lower gear ratio and turns a bigger wheel. I believe they have a longer warranty as well. They are very quiet and fuel efficient. The downside to them is finding an experienced tech to maintain them. I lost a 140 Zuke due to poorly performed ma...

Hello Folks!
Thank you for letting me in Capt Patrick. My name is Jimmy Mcclellan. I am an auto technician and small business owner. While my new boat isn't a 31 it is a beauty and has found a happy home with me and my family. https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xfp1/t1.0-9/p235x350/10612824_963988...
