Wow, what an inspirational thread! Beautiful work. I hope to restore mine in this manner in a few years!
Currently I am just cleaning "Reel Obsession" up to get a year or two's use before tearing into it.
Of course I have no fiberglass experience so have a lot to learn.

Re: 6BTA over heat issue
Thanks for the replies! I was thinking it had to be a restriction in the raw water side somewhere, and as mentioned was probably a piece of impeller. On the morning of the 4th, I put a mask on and checked the hull strainer again and it looked good, next I checked the seacock and strainer (again) ins...

Very nice boat as well and I like those engines. They appear to be clean in those pics and the exhaust is done very nicely. Those engines have the tombstone intercoolers which do not require regular maintenance (which can be a good thing to some). I didn't realize they were different. I'll have to ...

Bought B31, transport
Hi all, I just bought my first B31 FBC yesterday in Falmouth, MA. her name is "Reel Obsession". I had a 26' Moppie a few years ago and loved that boat. The 31' was originally listed on this forum years ago when the current owner bought her. It seems like the boat has had excellent care over the year...
