Re: Modernising The B20 Traditional Look
Yes Bertramp, I am manufacturing stainless steel surrounds and using 1/4 inch grey Perspex. Thankfully I am a sheet metal worker by trade so it is a cheap exercise.

Re: Help With ID Plate B20 Bahia Mar
Thank you everyone for your input, I have no doubt what vintage she is now. These US built Bertram's are rare as rocking horse shit is Australia. Most of the Bertram's here in OZ are a Carribean Bertram built locally.

Modernising The B20 Traditional Look
I am not sure how many traditionalists will think this is wrong, but I have reshaped the side cabin windows in my B20 Bahia Mar as the rectangular shape just did not appeal to me at all. I notice Ian Upton does not have any at all and it looks excellent. The boat didn't have any name plates at all w...

Love the picture Jimmy, I had a good laugh. After a day in the sun she would come in handy for a night time glow stick.

Re: Help With ID Plate B20 Bahia Mar
I don't know many adults that weigh 150 lbs, I think 4 persons maximum or fishing but 3 would be the perfect number. I never really gave the 150lbs weight a second thought, but yes I think our indulgent life styles have certainly changed the averages a lot.

Re: Bahia Mar 20 Restoration
Thank you for the views and feed back. I don't plan on sleeping in the cabin it will be used for gear storage, Its very warm here in sunny Queensland Australia and we usually sleep on the floor. The stringers and bulk heads were soaked with everdure and glassed before installation, I then glassed th...

Thank you for the upload information Peter. http://i1333.photobucket.com/albums/w635/chrisw34/20131124_105056_zpse8fc4a41.jpg This was taken in October. I would like to find out the year it was built. The guy I bought this off was convinced it was mid 1990s (no idea), he knew it was a Bertram and th...

Bahia Mar 20 Restoration
Hi My name is Chris, I am from Queensland Australia. I bought this old Bertram 20 Bahia Mar with an aluminium outboard pod 2 years ago. It was in really bad shape with a wet transom and the floor had lifted from the stringers. The gel coat was pitted like a cheese grater like nothing I had ever seen...

Hi Ian,
I am a new member to this site from Australia, and currently restoring a Bahia Mar with outboard conversion. Yours looks awesome, it looks like you have paid great attention to detail. Well Done!
