I think I'd like to access the situation a little before taking that dive. Is fire just taking hold, or out of control. Whats fueling the fire, small hose, fitting or something bigger. I'd prefer to give extinguishing a try if offshore, night-time, water is cold, if sharking n chumming, heavy seas. ...

So here is a tip, bass are pushing sand eels up to the surface, you can anticipate this as the birds start to see it and move in. They were up again tonight, I got a couple casts in… I think. Its is crazy the markup that is put on packing very inexpensive parts like o-rings. The shrink wrap is a couple steps up from a tarp. Could wrap your boat in a tarp cover as you could cover a wooden frame with a tarp for a makeshift building to work in, keep you out of the elements. Is +4" pitch / -0.5 inch dia too much in one hit? I think it is too much in one hit as you do not know how far over the 4000 the motor will go. Re: B25 '68 advice
Rule of thumb- An inch of pitch is 200 rpm. 4200 to 3900 is 300rpm to play with. It is advisable for motor to attain 50-100 rpm over rated which gives you 200 rpm to play with. I’d start by increasing pitch 1” giving 4000. Maybe add some cup to knock off another 100 rpm. If you think motor has more ...

I believe the tanks were only tabbed to stringers in a couple spots, at least mine was. Cut the tabbing, used a long saw blade to cut away the foam around tank. Couple clamps on lip of tank to a chain fall attached to a heavy pipe laid across gunnel. That n drove a couple wedges till it broke free.

A thought on reducing crating and shipping cost may be to cut the two side sections at the pillars. They could easily be lined up and glassed on site, may even make for an easier install. Anyway, I'd be interested...only need the front section for my upper Express helm.
