Thank you Doug. Brightside, I'd have thought that would not have held up. easy peasy, a walk in the park. I think not. Definitely NOT FOR ME, I am a horrible painter at best. I have done a couple project that I bust my butt on that came out ok. The cockpit floor with KiWI non slip which is a simple ...

I have not seen a 28 or 31 with portholes, but have seen them with docking lights installed. They kinda look like headlights on a car. Depends on what you consider a giant and how much you want to beat up the fish. Get something big and aggressive your getting spooled or your chasing the fish. From a pole holder your not playing the fish and I'd side with using brute strength of your equipment to bring in the fish in, an 80 is marg...

I’m not a fan of outboards, especially on a 31, but this one looks the part. 600hp, light, and low profile, I think it will move along pretty nicely. Now what does that mean…you may not have to hold on when hitting the throttles but I’d think a respectable 25 knot cruise could be possible. Your thou...

Tony is correct. It's a 2-part mold. The hull is laid up as one piece If it were a one-piece mold, the hull would not be able to be popped from the mold. Tony and Craig are correct the boat was laid up in one piece. A two part mold was used as the hull would not release from a one piece mold due to...

The motor will suck up the liquid if presented before the raw water pump. AKA - seacock strainer with fresh waster hose barb attached going into pail with seacock closed and no leaks.
Or you plumb in after the raw water pump. Then you push water with gravity… tall hose n funnel or pump it.

Yes different layout between the two.
The Bahia Mar has the helm seat right about where the “heads” seat would be on the FBC
I have some old brochures that show the layouts of both, I’ll try to pull out n post tomorrow.

I was thinking of pulling the hose from seacock to pump and sticking that into a pail. Could be done the way we winterize our motors here, well at least I do. I'm not sure, but your boat will smell like a salad for awhile. Over here many have gone using a product called "Barnacle Buster". I can’t say anything bad about about marine manifolds and I welded up my risers. All that said, I really like the idea of SS investment castings over a welded product. Not the worst design for an elbow...if and when it leaks most of the water "should" make its was straight down avoiding the turbo. Gaining the experience and knowledge on how to decipher the readings can be more important than the meter. Yannis- Ablative disperses sorta kinda. I believe ablative means it gets carried away, that is it gets removed by the friction of water when moving. If boat was not power washed so aggressive at the end of the season I’d be good for another year without painting.
