It's paint, not chrome. Your painting, not chroming. Chrome is very hard and durable, paint is paint. In the video the guy scratches the helmet easily with a screwdriver. The prep was also made to look easy...somehow I believe the base finish dictates the end result. Whatever...it does look great.

First, I am not for changing the Strut and rudder location just to make it fit. I am saying good performing boats have used transom-mounted rudders, but those were designed that way OR redesigned that way as Elite marine has done on their 31 Bertram Refits. Change where the prop wash hits the rudder...

Schedule 40 is very heavy for exhaust. If you use, make sure to add supports to carry the weight instead of hanging off turbo.

I think you mean Aluminum Grade 6061 or Marine-grade 5000 series. Both are plenty strong and hold up to the marine environment, easy to work with. Gearboxs are not as cheap as oil, my suggestion is to call an Authorized ZF dealer and ask them. Its the cost of a phone call. Best answer, they say not a problem, the worst answer you have to change your fluid. If they are unsure...my suggestion is you change the fluid. I say this as moving forward...

Yup...Tony is right with straight 30W in the 220's unless a Tropical hot setting where 40W is recommended.

I'm not sure where I got the multi-grade from.

Your right Frank, but a step up from the 63A gears is the ZF220's and those 15w-40 IS the recommended fluid.
